Ukrainian President Warns of Escalating Tensions with Russia Following Drone Attack on Moscow
Ukrainian President Warns of "War Returning to Russia" Following Drone Attack.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that "war is returning to Russia," following a drone attack on Moscow early on Sunday.
Zelensky made the statement during a visit to the western city of Ivano-Frankivsk, where he also warned that Ukraine must prepare for a new attack on energy infrastructure in the winter.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, three Ukrainian drones were downed over Moscow, causing damage to two office towers and briefly shutting down an international airport.
The attack was the latest in a series of recent assaults, including on the Kremlin and Russian towns near the border with Ukraine, which Moscow has blamed on Kyiv.
Zelensky's warning comes amid increasing tensions between Ukraine and Russia, which have been in conflict since 2014 when Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine.
The two countries have also been engaged in a separatist conflict in eastern Ukraine.
The Ukrainian president's statement also comes after Moscow claimed that its forces had thwarted a Ukrainian attempt to attack Russia-annexed Crimea with 25 drones overnight.
It is unclear what actions Ukraine may take in response to the recent drone attacks, but Zelensky's warning suggests that tensions between the two countries are likely to continue.
Time for Russia to go into Ukraine and carpet bomb Kiev and show the little NAZI what war is like, bomb all hiways and railways so transportation stops in the country
